Civil Rights Leader Daryl Davis in Conversation at Swedenborg House

We are honored to welcome civil rights leader and renowned blues musician Daryl Davis to Swedenborg House (2023 Q Street NW, Washington, DC) for the launch of his new book, Klan Whisperer.

Daryl Davis is widely known for his extraordinary work building relationships across deep divisions. Through decades of conversation and courageous engagement, he has persuaded numerous members of the Ku Klux Klan to renounce their beliefs. His work offers a powerful example of how listening, dignity, and shared humanity can open unexpected paths to transformation.

Rev. Rich Tafel will host an evening dialogue with Daryl exploring his experiences, the lessons he has learned about bridge-building, and how these insights connect to the Cultural Translation work being developed at Swedenborg House. Refreshments will be available beginning at 6:30 p.m., with the program starting at 7:00 p.m.
