“Music of the Angels” Series With Conductor Ross Capon and The Accord Wind Ensemble

Church of the Holy City’s “Music of the Angels” series continues at 3:30 p.m. EST on Saturday afternoon, March 16th, with a full orchestra concert organized and conducted by our member Ross Capon. The Accord Wind Ensemble also will perform.  The performance is free of charge and open to all who are interested – no registration required!

The orchestra will play:
Johann Strauss, Jr.: Fledermaus: Entr’acte (Prelude) to Act III
Haydn: Symphony #96: III. Menuetto
Copland: Variations on a Shaker Melody (Simple Gifts) from Appalachian Spring
Gottschalk: Symphony #1 “Night in the Tropics”
I. Andante (abridged)
II. Allegro moderato

The Accord Wind Ensemble will play:
Richard Strauss: Serenade op. 7
Mozart: Serenade in c, K. 388 (which Mozart later transcribed to become his String Quintet K. 406)
